About the Authors
Beverly J. Valtierra, Ph.D., LCSW is a psychologist and a
certified social worker in private practice in San Antonio,
Texas. She consults and gives workshops and seminars.
She has served as assistant professor in several graduate
programs.
Joan M. Ellis, M.A., LPC, LCDC is a licensed professional
counselor and chemical dependency counselor. She
maintains a private practice in San Antonio and trains
and consults in the chemical dependency field.
Together they own the Connection Center, Inc., a group
counseling practice. They have a highly qualified and
experienced staff.
